Who doesn’t love chocolate? This half-day tour of chocolate making starts from the cocoa tree and ends with a Mayan chocolate bar in your hands. In the community of Maya Center, you will visit a cacao farm where the farmer gives you a complete history of his organic cacao farm. During this hands-on experience, you get to touch and taste organic cacao beans from the tree. You will learn how to make your own chocolate on traditional grinding stones just like the ancient Maya did.

Departure Time: 8:00am or 12:00pm
Return Time: 12:00pm or 4:00pm
Travel Time: 1 hour each way.
What to bring: sunscreen, hat, water bottles, camera, bug repellent, sturdy hiking shoes, and power/granola bars.
